7 Daily Habits to Boost Your Confidence and Radiate Magnetic Energy

I invite you to bring to mind the most magnetic, radiant person you know right now.

How do they look? How do they walk? How do they smile? How do they speak?

I would bet my life-savings that the person who came to your mind is someone who is completely and unapologetically their most authentic selves.

Being magnetic isn’t about having artificial confidence.

It’s about accepting and embracing your own unique expression.

That is radiant.

If this is what you want to become, I’ve got you.

I’m going to share seven daily habits that I use, and share with my clients, so they can tap into their most magnetic selves.

Meditation

Meditation is a powerful practice and is one that changed my life.

After my second major heartbreak, I had a long, hard look at myself.

I realised that I was the architect of my own suffering and everything I’d been doing up until that point hadn’t been working. I needed to change something.

My friend recommended meditation and my extreme resistance to the practice made me curious.

Meditation was always something I just felt I ‘couldn’t do’ because my mind was so busy.

Until I realised that meditation isn’t about being silent. It’s about being softly awake and aware and training your brain to shift its focus and find stillness in the chaos of our lives.

Meditating has been a long, arduous, complicated, strange, frustrating and wonderful journey for me. Meditation has taught me how to create incredible awareness of my thoughts.

It helps calm and stabilise your nervous system, improve focus, manage emotions, and enhance awareness. There are immeasurable wellbeing benefits to meditation and the science is out.

Movement

In a previous life, I was a personal trainer.

Time and time again, I watched clients make the same mistake. And I’m going to tell you, so you don’t make the same one.

Movement should feel GOOD for you. If you’re going to the gym because you think you have to, when you’d rather swim, do yoga or go to a Pilates class, you can let that go right now.

The best movement you can choose is the one you stick to.

The endorphins (happy hormones) are released either way. Movement is medicine and is a delicious self-care tonic. It is a magnetic self-love practice as we carve out the time in our day just for us.

Kill the ANTs

One of my favourite leaders in the self-development industry is Dr Daniel Amen. He’s a psychiatrist from the United States and he specialises in teaching regular people about their brain and how it works.

One of my favourite teachings from Dr Amen is killing the ANTs. Automatic Negative Thoughts.

Most of us have a negative dialogue that runs automatically in our brains.

While it is ‘normal’ because of how the brain operates, it doesn’t have to be this way.

Our thoughts, feelings, behaviours, beliefs and habits determine our lives. So getting on top of our thinking can only be a good thing for our future.

A habit of magnetic people is the challenging of their negative thoughts, the acceptance of their existence, and their drive to choose a different way.

In the Becoming Magnetic program, we work on methods to kill the ANTs and change our automatic dialogue to become more positive and enlightening.

Nourish

How we nourish our bodies really does matter.

What we eat and how we drink impacts how we feel.

I abide, usually, by an 80/20 rule. 80% whole foods and 20% ‘other’.

Balance is important because anything in extremes isn’t healthy either.

Magnetic people don’t restrict. They listen to their bodies, they eat in a balanced way and they respond to their hunger cues. But they’re also mindful of making healthy choices for their wellbeing.

Cull your socials

When you open your phone and scroll through social media (Instagram and TikTok), how do you feel? Honestly?

Do you feel empowered? Inspired? Motivated? Educated? Informed?

Or do you feel like you’ve just been sucker-punched in the gut because you’re following people who you consciously and unconsciously compare yourself to?

Your social media feed matters.

We spend a lot of time on our phones, that’s the way it is.

So curating a feed that feels good for you is a powerful way to protect and nurture your energy.

Our diet isn’t just what we eat. It’s what we consume online too.

Culling your socials by removing any unhelpful energy, and following people who inspire you and light you up, is a magnetic decision.

Act like your best self

One of my favourite things about the Becoming Magnetic Program, is witnessing the incredible growth and transformation of my clients as they step into their best selves.

Your best self is within you. It’s waiting for you. It’s desperate to be unleashed.

We’ve just got to unlearn some things and get through some conditioning.

Magnetic people act in alignment with their heart, spirit and values. They act like their highest, best selves. This is a practice and is allowed to change at any time.

Every day, keep asking yourself: “how might the best version of me approach this?”

Step into your best self as a practice.

Connect with people you love

Human beings are tribal creatures and connection was historically essential for our survival.

When we feel disconnected and rejected, the same parts of our brain that trigger in a threatening situation are activated.

We literally think and feel that we’re in danger.

Being around people who love you, understand you and support you is a natural confidence booster.

Being with people we love can have a calming impact on our nervous system.

Your people are natural vibe boosters. They support you in becoming, and staying, magnetic.
